Методы и устройства анализа зрелости яблок

В монографии подробно освещены методы и устройства контроля зрелости яблок, применяемые в садоводстве. Основное внимание в работе уделяется оптическим и электрическим характеристикам яблок, используемых для неразрушающего контроля зрелости яблок и позволяющим оценивать их функциональное состояние. Приведены результаты экспериментальных исследований, расширяющие представления о процессе созревания яблок. Показано, что физические методы контроля зрелости яблок можно использовать для определения оптимальных сроков съема плодов в саду и хранения. Установлена периодичность изменений функционального состояния плодов, контролируемого физическими методами. Книга представляет интерес для научных сотрудников, работающих в области садоводства, а также студентов, аспирантов и преподавателей.

The combination of two dimensional gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry in protein biochemistry, is an established powerful strategy for the analysis of quantitative and qualitative differences between two or more related biological states. For this thesis work we applied those methods to investigate certain light responses of a phototrophic bacterium, of which we hope they would correlate with the function of a unique photoreceptor the organism expresses.

This work aims at predicting the seismic response of soil and pile using artificial neural network (ANN) as a tool of function approximation.The seismic response of soil is a function of characteristics of earthquake source, the distance traversed by seismic waves through the earth body, and the local site geology below the ground surface. In addition, the presence of pile in soil alters the seismic waves and the pile in turn is stressed. Two important phenomena are modeled in this research: (i) the prediction of seismic response of ground surface in terms of peak ground acceleration (PGA), peak ground velocity(PGV), and peak ground displacement(PGD), and (ii) the kinematic response of piles which includes pile bending moments and the foundation input motion to the superstructure.

This book focuses on learning vocabulary through EFL textbooks. In other words, to what extent does the current textbooks can help in learning English language by considering the research recommendations regarding the types of vocabulary, based on their frequencies in English language, that need to be learned by a group of language learners in a particular level of English language proficiency. Analyzing the textbooks to find out the number of repetitions of the target vocabulary, based on the previous research results and recommendations, which is needed for learning each word. This is to explore how much are these textbooks appropriate for the target level as well as recommendations for further research and textbook writing.

The increase in petroleum exploration and production has brought about an increase in the discharge of operational materials such as drilling mud/ fluids, which are used during oil and gas well operational activities to serve several important functions. Most of the petroleum exploration and production activities are located in the coastal zone where great numbers of aquatic organisms live. OBMs commonly used in Nigeria are chosen for this study despite the numerous types of drilling fluids used as operational materials within the Niger Delta because no information is known about their lethal toxicity on the endemic two indigenous organisms of the Niger Delta. This is in relation to the fact that fish are relatively sensitive to changes within their environment and thus their health may reflect on the condition of the aquatic ecosystem.
